Last year was such a blessing, I'm back again to help you start your year off right - in the presence of the Lord!

This year, God has instructed that the focus of this fast center on The Beauty of Contentment. As we pray, we'll be learning about and meditating on being content... with God. with life. with ourselves.

Here are some answers to some questions you may have about this fast:

Fasting Details

I’m do not usually give a particular fasting menu for you to follow with this fast. I believe fasting is really such a personal act. Allow God show you what you should eliminate out of your diet and/or social space. But, for reference, or if you want to do the same, I will be doing the following:

  • Eating Fruits & Veggies, Chicken & Fish (No red meat)

  • No Fried Food

  • No Bread

  • No Junk Food

  • No Soda

  • No Secular Entertainment (music/tv/movies)

  • No Social Media (except for FB Group posting)

Devotions

As we go through these two weeks together, I will share a daily devotion via email. There will also be several days where I will also send a video to help teach, motivate, and encourage you with the day's topic.

Prayer

There is no fast without prayer. Prayer is the most integral part of this entire process. Each day you should prioritize having a dedicated time to pray. Each devotion is set up to help lead you into your daily prayer time.

Choose a quiet space during a time when you know you won’t be interrupted, so that you can be fully engaged with the Lord as you pray. I purposefully keep the devotions brief to give you time to reflect on what is written and pray. During your prayer time, I encourage you to also have a journal and a pen handy prompts to write down what God is telling you in the moment.

I'm Here For You!

If you have any specific prayer requests that you would like me to pray for as well, I will be more than happy to take them to the Lord as well! Simply email me, and I will add you to my prayer list!

Even if you don't send in a specific request, know that I am most definitely praying for you!

I'm expecting God to meet us, speak to us, and set us up for a wonderful 2025. I'm so excited!

Still have questions? I'm just an email away!

When's the last time you did something new? I'm not talking about trying a new restaurant, or watching a movie you've never seen before.

When was the last time that you tried a new experience that was totally out of your norm? I had to think hard to a time when I did something totally new to me. Outside of having my beautiful baby girl - which was a whole experience - I could only think of the first time I went ziplining in a forest.

Standing in the trees, looking down - but trying not to look down - it was scary. And I had to actively shut my brain down from trying to scroll through all the possibilities and scenarios that ultimately led to me lying broken on the ground below. I waited for the majority of my group to go first before I felt ready to have my turn.

Once I stepped off the precipice, trusting the harnesses, clips, helmets, gloves, and a quick prayer to keep me safe and secure - I had a ball. I loved it!

There are going to be times in life where God is going to open a door for you, you're going to look through, and it's going to be something totally out of your frame of reference. It may look scary. It may look impossible. You might have even seen other people do something similar, but God is now looking at you.

I want to encourage you to walk into the Newness of God. Trust that God has put things in place to ensure that you won't wind up broken. He loves you enough to hold you up. He loves you even more than that - He won't just hold you, He'll walk with you.

How remarkable is that?

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?

I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Isaiah 43:19

God, please show me ME! That's been my prayer for a while now.

I know what I want to do, I know how I want to be seen, I know the plans that I have for myself... But I always come back to what God was thinking when He created me. I want to match His initial plan as much as I can.

And, the Lord, in His Sovereignty, has shown me aspects of myself that do not match the current version. And with each revelation, I have the choice to align myself to His will. Some things have been easier than others. More time in the Word? I can do that! Others have been more difficult. Oh, I have to actually put myself out there like that? Let me think about it for a few...

God has shown me some really cool places that He wants me to go in life. I have been amazed at where He wants to take me. Again, I have the choice to stay committed to the Lord's leading to get me where He wants me to go.

Have you ever asked God to show you what He was thinking when He made you? If you haven't, I highly recommend it. I know we're not supposed to think more highly of ourselves than we ought (Romans 12:3). But, sometimes I feel like we don't think high enough of ourselves in the first place.

The Bible says you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. He chose and crowned you with purpose. Wouldn't you like to your life to match the plans God had when He created you?

Get before God and allow Him to lead you in the direction that He wants you to go. Some things will be easy, others will require more of your faith. But they all will add up to you being and living better than you ever could have on your own.

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people;

that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you

out of darkness into his marvellous light.

1 Peter 2:9
