We Have the Best Partner!

I hope you are well and enjoying the height of summer! I have been spending the last few days thinking through some of the ideas and projects I know I want to complete before the end of the year. Working on another season of the That's My Sister podcast, a YouTube series that I want to start recording, and getting my Howard Homecoming travel particulars nailed down are at the top of the list. 😉

I also have some prayer requests before the Lord, and He has some requests laid out on the table for me. I know it's my responsibility to do my part which will allow God to do His part to get it all to come together.

Isn't it great that we get to work together with God?

He doesn't take over and do everything with His awesome, fully powerful self. He gives us some of the responsibility and lets us take part in the miracle of our transformation into our purposed and destined selves.

No, it doesn't always feel great to walk out the process. There are plenty of times where I just wanted God to make everything happen while I sit back and do nothing. (In fact, it's the majority of the time.) However, I can't deny how the steps of faith I've taken, the valleys I've had to walk through, the challenges I've had to face head-on have improved my life and character in ways I never would have seen had God done it all for me.

I'm sure you have the same testimony.

So, let's keep up the good work! We have the privilege to work together with God! What better partner could we ask for?

In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

James 2:17 NIV

One of my faves, Pastor John Hannah, preached about our role in the process this past Sunday - I've embedded it for you below. It's a great encouragement to keep doing the work!

Have a great day!

Something New

When's the last time you did something new? I'm not talking about trying a new restaurant, or watching a movie you've never seen before....
